The Island Packet 44 Cutter is a beautifully crafted vessel designed for both comfort and performance. This boat features a robust fiberglass hull with a full keel and shallow draft that does not sacrifice offshore stability. An aft wide beam offers interior volume and deck space. The deck and cockpit layout accommodate a traditional raised helm seat with traditional sailing ergonomics. The winch layout allows handling of the sails from the cockpit area with ease.
For the interior, the layout is functional and traditional. There is teak joinery offering excellent fit and finish, a U-shaped galley and starboard side navigation station. The salon offers a fold-down dinette table and wraparound seating. Her two-stateroom, two-head layout is kept comfortable with two air conditioner units.
JIJO II started her life in the Caribbean, and then made her way to East Coast U.S. shores. It was then hauled via land transport to the Midwest, where she operated on freshwater lakes and waterways for most of her life. Current owners purchase her in 2023 and transported her to the U.S. Gulf Coast. The mast was then re-bedded and its standing rigging inspected and re-tuned.
Since taking ownership, her current owners have made several improvements and upgrades. She is kept in turnkey condition and boasts a detailed maintenance log. New bottom paint in 2024, and updated engine service in 2025. A Highfield inflatable tender and brand new 6hp outboard motor convey with the sale of this boat.
Owners are selling her to transition to a trawler. Make an appointment to view this great-condition cutter and see why Island Packet is an outstanding quality constructed sailing vessel.
