The most innovative feature of the boat is what Marquis calls a “sliding transom” that glides aft with a push of a button to create more than 60 square feet of cockpit space.
Below, the two-stateroom, single-head interior of the Marquis 40 features a queen berth in the forward master stateroom and single berths in the starboard-side guest cabin. The salon, with its sweeping windows, U-shaped sofa and disappearing 26″ TV, is a modern blend of hardwood cabinets, lacquered trim, and designer fabrics. (An electric table in the salon drops to cocktail level or raises to dinette height.) The Eurostyle galley is up and to port, opposite the two-seat helm station.
