Fishy Business underwent a major refit in 2022/2023
Introducing the Garlington Flybridge 44, built by Conch Boatworks with the hull mold provided by Garlington. The Fishy Business was crafted by the exceptional team at Conch Boatworks, led by Head Builder and Project Manager Brian Lowery. This remarkable build generated immense anticipation across the industry, thanks in part to the social media coverage of Partner Captain Scotty Alvarez, who proudly documented the entire build process for the world to follow along with. .
As a stunning centerpiece on the docks at Los SueƱos Marina, she became an iconic sight for all who entered and exited the marina over the years. In 2022, she was purchased and subsequently underwent an extensive refit by Bristol Marine International Boatworks, reemerging as the Fishy Business.
With her quintessential Garlington lines, the Fishy Business feels and looks like a larger vessel than her agile 44 feet suggest. She has had numerous successful overnight trips, boasting releases of blue marlin in the high 20s in a single day. This yacht is a true fishing machine, built by some of the best in the business. Equipped with a Kodan sonar, a new 17-kilowatt Phasor generator, and a Seakeeper #6 with an extended warranty, she is designed for peak performance.
Her Cummins QSC 600 hp engines provide a comfortable high cruise speed of 30 knots, complemented by an immaculate and updated engine room. Enjoy the cool breeze on the mezzanine, equipped with cockpit air conditioning, while listening to music on the Fusion stereo. Additional air conditioning vents are also installed on the bridge for added comfort.
For your outings, ample seating is available, including a four-person teak wood dinette table and a spacious fore and aft couch to starboard. The split galley features elegant granite countertops and two Sub-Zero refrigerator units, offering a total of three refrigerated spaces and one freezer, along with a Breville microwave/convection oven for added convenience.
Forward of the salon and galley, you will find a large head and shower to starboard, with over-under bunk space to port. There is a huge rod and tackle storage room located forward of the bunks, next to the laundry and pantry-type space with a door. Completing the layout is the forward VIP V-berth style cabin. Throughout the boat, you will notice exceptional attention to detail in the craftsmanship, contributing to a luxurious feel.
